From Durban International Airport take the N3 to Pietermaritzberg and take the R617 Bulwer/Merrivale turnoff. Follow the signs towards Bulwer. 4km past Underberg turn right into Drakensberg Gardens Road and travel for approximately 23 km on a gravelled road. The Castleburn Gate is on the left hand side.
